The legacy and corporate media are increasingly bowing to Donald Trump, silencing voices that challenge him—and independent media is stepping up to hold Donald Trump accountable.

Make no mistake about it: we saw this coming. The corporate and legacy media, once champions of truth and accountability, are already bowing down to Donald Trump. And what’s worse? They’re aligning with the very forces that have spread lies and disinformation across our nation—Fox News. Yes, Fox News—the same network that paid over $787 million to Dominion Voting Systems for their role in pushing blatant falsehoods about the 2020 election.

The cracks are deep, and the fall has begun.

This past weekend, MSNBC made a tragic statement by canceling several high-profile shows, including The ReidOut with Joy Reid and The Katie Phang Show. These cancellations are not just a slap in the face to these incredible hosts; they are a direct attack on the communities that rely on their voices—voices that represent AAPI, Black, LGBTQ+ communities, and more.

But let’s be clear: this isn’t about ratings. The ReidOut is a powerhouse in its own right—widely recognized, deeply influential. These moves were calculated and deliberate, a direct hit on the journalists and advocates who dare challenge the lies of Donald Trump.

This is not just a bad day for the media—it’s a full-scale betrayal of the truth.

This is why so many are turning to independent media. This is why trust in the legacy media is evaporating. We are living in a time when corporate news outlets are more willing to serve the interests of Donald Trump than they are to stand up for the people. The media industry is too scared to rock the boat, too desperate to stay in his good graces. They’ve sold out—and they are silencing the voices of truth in exchange for corporate profits and political expediency.

But here's one more truth that I want to share with you: I will not bend. I will not silence myself. And neither will the many journalists and independent voices who are taking a stand against this corporate war. We will ensure that the stories the mainstream media tries to bury—stories of accountability, truth, and justice—will be heard. We will give a voice to those who have been silenced.
