The Revolution is Here: Let's Defeat Trump.
America is rising against Donald Trump's tyranny. Here's what you need to know—hold on to hope.
How are you really feeling right now? It’s been a long, painful month. I know. You’re exhausted, overwhelmed, and maybe even a little broken by everything happening around us.
Donald Trump—his words, his actions—they’ve torn at the very soul of this country. His relentless assault on our Constitution, on our rights, on our democracy itself—it’s impossible to ignore. Every day, it feels like another blow, another betrayal. Watching him try to unravel everything we hold dear has been terrifying, and it feels like we’re losing.
But listen… it’s okay to feel all of that. Heck, it’s okay to cry. This moment is hard. It’s heavy. It hurts. We’ve all felt that sting, that frustration, that fear.
I see the parents, looking at their children, wondering how they’re going to make it. I see the veterans, who fought for this country, now facing the cold reality of losing their healthcare, thanks to the same man who dodged his own duty to serve. I see you. I feel the weight of your struggles, the uncertainty, the pain.
Right now, it’s hard to find the light in all of this. It feels like we’re standing in the darkest chapter of our history. But I need you to hear me when I say this: We’re going to get through this.
Because, as Kamala Harris said, the light of America’s promise will never go out. And that promise? You are it. You’re the heart and soul of this country.
We’ve fought through impossible things before—civil wars, recessions, depressions, attacks on our very identity—and we’ve always come through the other side. Stronger. United. And we will again.
I know you’re mad. I know you’re scared. And you should be. You’re angry at the leaders who promised to fight for you, only to turn their backs, to cower in the face of power. John Fetterman—he’s one example. You’re stressed because you feel like no one’s fighting for you. It’s hard to see a way out.
But I want you to know, without a shadow of a doubt: We’re fighting for you. We’ve got your back. And I’m not talking about empty promises or words. I’m talking about real action. Fighters like Governor Josh Shapiro, who is taking legal action to stop the funding freeze that’s hurting so many of us. Leaders like Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, holding those responsible—like Elon Musk—accountable for dismantling our government piece by piece. Warriors like Congressman Al Green, who is already taking steps to impeach Donald Trump.
For every John Fetterman, there are millions of people just like you and me, standing tall and refusing to back down. Right now, millions are marching, protesting, and demanding change. They’re out there because they believe in this country. They believe in you. They believe in the promise that we, together, can rise above this tyranny.
It’s easy to get lost in all the bad news. It feels like the world is falling apart sometimes, and it’s hard to see the light. But I promise you—it’s there. Good trouble is happening right now. And it’s happening for you.
I know it’s hard to see it. I know it’s hard to believe it. But I need you to hold on. We’ve got you. We are in this together. We are stronger than we know. We can do this. We will do this.
And when we get through this storm, when the dust settles, we will be there—together—rebuilding the America we believe in. The America we deserve. The America where justice, equality, and freedom aren’t just ideals but truths we all live by.
You are not alone. We’ve got you. Always.
And I promise you—we will be okay.
You brought tears to my eyes as well. I am/was a Canadian but two years ago I became an American citizen, not because I had to but because I wanted to be able to vote against Trump and I was overjoyed to vote for a woman but was sad she lost. I live in Trumpland and was not brave enough to go to the Capital today. But I did wear a Canadian sweatshirt and walked my neighborhood in protest of tariffs to both Canada and Mexico. So many people couldn't even say hello or look me in the eye. I looked at the news in a lot of the major cities and barely saw anything about the protest and it made me sad. It seems like people here don't care. So my last protest (after having my email returned from AZ GOP) was to attach to my tree out front, a copy of the Oath I took "to protect against enemies both foreign and DOMESTIC". Now to look for a Gulf of Mexico T-shirt...
People can yell, scream and protest. But it all falls on deaf ears. trump, musk and the cowardly republicans turn a deaf ear and blind eye to all this just to keep their seats and power and not piss off trump. Heck, can you truly rely on the courts? I feel we are stuck having to watch the carnage until the next election. More and more people who should be helping the American people have fallen to their knees for trump. And what will our country and democracy look like then? I’m terrified we will not win any more seats in Congress and Senate. Until the maga voters are severely hurt by trump, it will be more of the same. I can’t watch the news and have a hard time reading the news. I do appreciate all that people are doing but this is so hard to watch.
