You already know what’s coming: Tonight, Donald Trump will stand before a joint session of Congress. And you already know exactly what he’s going to say: More of his same destructive, divisive, dangerous rhetoric we’ve been forced to endure for years.

Tonight, Trump will spew lies about Democrats, belittle our communities, and try to sow even more division among our country. He’ll boast about his wrecking ball approach to our government, and his far-right enablers will cheer him on like mindless puppets. And us? We’ll sit there, disgusted, but not shocked, as this man continues to poison our nation with his vile agenda.

But listen closely—this is bigger than just us. It’s bigger than the people watching from their homes across America. The world is watching. From Canada to Mexico, from Ukraine to every corner of the globe, eyes are locked on us—not to witness the absurdity of Donald Trump, but to see how we, the American people, will respond.

And we must respond. With power. With urgency. With a voice that cannot be silenced.

We have to hold him accountable. We have to demand that the world knows that Trump does not speak for us. He does not represent the heart of this nation.

We must make it clear to our neighbors to the north and south—and yes, to the world—that Trump may be cozying up to Russia, but we stand for something far greater. We stand for freedom. We stand for Ukraine. We stand for democracy.

We will raise our voices to ensure the world knows that the true heart of America beats with the people—not with a tyrant. We must be unwavering in our message: This country may be in a dark place, but we will rise again. Like we always have.

Tonight, as the world watches, whether you choose to tune into Trump’s speech or not, you must be prepared to act. You must be ready to speak out, to fight back, to show the world we are not afraid.
