Trump’s Tariff Disaster: Throwing Americans Under the Bus for a Losing Trade War.

Today, China dropped the hammer, announcing a 10%-15% tariff on U.S. goods in retaliation for Trump’s never-ending trade war. You might be asking, “Aren’t tariffs just taxes on the consumer?” And you’re right. Trump is once again throwing everyday Americans under the bus for a fight he’s already lost—and yet, here we are.

Even Nikki Haley is calling him out. On CNBC’s Squawk Box, she said, “This is a man who now wants to slap 10% tariffs across the board, raising taxes on every single American. Think about that.” She then went on to say, “Trump’s about to raise every household’s expenses by $2,600 a year”—a figure pulled from the fiscally conservative National Taxpayers Union.

When you find yourself agreeing with Nikki Haley, you know Trump’s making a colossal problem.

So why is he doubling down on this trade war? Because, in his warped mind, he thinks it will magically lead to more border security. This is the same man who, just days ago, slapped tariffs on Canada—only to backtrack when he realized they were already working on a $1.3 billion border package, courtesy of the Biden administration.

But why bother with research, right? Just hike up the costs for Americans and hope it somehow works out. Classic Putin.

I mean Classic Trump… oops.

And now, as President Biden’s economy—one that took years to rebuild—starts to unravel, all I can do is sit back and laugh. Trump is doing the exact opposite of what he promised: instead of lowering costs for Americans, he’s increasing them. Big time.

To all those who didn’t listen when we warned them about voting for Trump: well, they’re seeing the consequences now. It’s time to FAFO.

We can still take action to stop Trump from wrecking any more damage. We need to take back the House and Senate next year—so let’s make it happen.
